More employment tribunal statistics have been released today. These show a continued drop in the number of receipts for disability discrimination. We can track this number for the last year in the mini table below:
|Quarter||Number of Receipts|
|Oct – Dec 2012||1,915|
|Jan – Mar 2013||1,811|
|Apr – Jun 2013||1,801|
|Jul – Sep 2013||1,619|
Looking at data as far back as April last year (2012), the current figure of 1,619 is the lowest it has been. Disability discrimination still accounts for around 4 per cent of all reasons for making a claim to an employment tribunal.
(Note that these figures are for receipts – not successful claims. The stats released today do not look at successful claims.)
