Stat of the day: Measuring National Well-being

On Monday, the Office for National Statistics released further data as part of their ‘Measuring National Well-being’ research. Participants are asked to rate their answer from 0 to 10 (0 is low, 10 is high).

  • 20 % of disabled people rate their life satisfaction at 9-10 compared with 30 % of non-disabled people;
  • 60 % of those who are economically inactive due to long-term illness rate their life satisfaction level at 4 or below;
  • 29 % of disabled people said they felt ‘very highly’ anxious yesterday, ompared with 18 % of non-disabled people.
